“White Men Can’t Jump” is getting its hops back.
“Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris is teaming up with two athletes-turned-producers, Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin and Ryan Kalil of the Carolina Panthers, for the redevelopment of the 1992 classic.
Barris is writing and producing the remake of the basketball comedy, which first starred Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson, for a film deal with 20th Century Fox. Griffin and Kalil will produce the film through their production company Mortal Media.

Griffin and Khalil’s other main Mortal Media film venture is a remake of “The Rocketeer.”
Five-time NBA All Star Griffin is no stranger to comedy, often showing off his comedic chops in Kia commercials and FunnyorDie.com skits.
