It’s the first Tuesday in May meaning it is time to debrief all of the Met Gala fashion from last night.
The first Monday of the month marks the annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. This year New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and wife Gisele Bündchen co-hosted the event celebrating the opening of Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons exhibit.
The couple walked the red carpet in miss matched hues of silver. Brady wearing a Tom Ford sport coat and Bündchen wore a stunning backless Stella McCartney gown.
Other athletes in attendance included tennis player Serena Williams in an emerald green Versace dress showing off her baby bump.
New couple, baseball legend Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, made their first red carpet appearance together. AROD posted this sweet pic to Instagram of him capturing all of J.Lo’s beauty and captioned the pic “admiring Jennifer doing her thing on the carpet at the #MetGala2017.”
The Met Gala is the latest in a series of events bringing the athletes out of their sweats and into couture. April 29 The Winklevoss brothers, Olympic rowers Tyler and Cameron, stepped out for the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala at the Geffen Contemporary in Los Angeles. This years MOCA Gala honored contemporary artist Jeff Koons and his new exhibition, according to WWD.
The twins were still able to make it to the Met Gala and snapped this shot with Migos. Cameron switched up the classic tux for this Tom Ford paisley sport coat.
Celebrities who were not at the MOCA Gala Saturday night, were at Tina Knowles’ Wearable Art Gala at the California African American Museum. The event helped raise money for the WAC Theater Center, according to Time. In attendance was of course Knowles’ daughter Beyonce, but Magic Johnson and his family made an appearance as well.
The former Los Angeles Laker and current president of the organization opted for a Tom Ford zebra-print jacket. However, his son EJ stole show in a Gucci jacket, and sequin and lace pants.
