Former world No. 1 tennis player Victoria Azarenka thrilled fans with a four-round run at Wimbledon, after being out of competition on maternity leave for over a year. Azarenka was able to return in a big way thanks to training and a unique diet. Here, we take a look at her healthy power smoothie. It is a sweet treat that can not only fuel athletes, but cool fans, too.

Though Azarenka’s professional training regimen may be measured, her smoothie making is relaxed. The tennis pro advises fellow smoothie chefs to measure ingredients based on personal preference:

  • Raspberry
  • Banana
  • Mint
  • Almond milk
  • Almond butter
  • Granola (for garnish)

She told espnW.com that she enjoys this recipe because it is gluten free, vegan and naturally sweet.

Still not convinced that this is the answer to all of your summer heat and hunger woes? World renowned chef Bobby Flay chose Azarenka’s smoothie as the winner out of two other athletes’ drink recipes for its color, texture, and flavor.
