Check out what’s new in this week’s relationship roundup!
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian
If you’ve been following along with Proday, we have kept you updated on the whirlwind relationship between tennis player Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, and their growing family. Over the weekend, Williams had a 1950s-themed baby shower where she rocked a poodle skirt, a retro hairstyle and of course that beautiful bump. No modern day event is complete without its own hashtag, so Williams dubbed the baby shower #ShakeRattleAnd Roll2017.
Her star-studded guest list joined in on the social media fun — close friends Ciara Wilson, Lala Anthony, her sister Venus Williams and Eva Longoria were all in attendance. From the looks of it they could be celebrating the birth very soon…maybe of a baby girl? The couple has not officially said what the sex of the baby is, but the baby daddy did have this to say on jimmy Kimmel according to People.com.
“[Serena] won the Australian Open while pregnant. And she remarked that she feels like it has to be a girl because everything that that baby went through and handled like a champ, only a woman could be strong enough to take on.”
Evelyn Lozada and Carl Crawford
“Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada may be separating from former Los Angeles Dodgers player Carl Crawford. According to a source from The Shade Room, the couple who got engaged in 2013 has been slipping further and further apart.
They have gone on separate vacations and the last time they were seen together was at their son Leo’s birthday party in March.
Crawford was unhappy with their prenup initially, according to BET.com, which may be the root of their issues.
Julius Randle and Kendra Shaw
Los Angeles Lakers player Julius Randle married longtime girlfriend Kendra Shaw August 3. The University of Kentucky college sweethearts tied the knot at the beautiful Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California. The outdoor venue was a chic and over the top soiree with lush flowers, dazzling chandeliers and #views.
Fellow laker players Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Ingram, Larry Nance Jr. and Ivica Zubac were in attendance to support Randle on his big day, according to nba.com. Other NBA players on the guest list included Nick Young, Tarik Black and Metta World Peace.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
