This was the week of weddings and engagements for some of our hottest pro-athlete couples! From the diamond to the court, several athletes have new rings to show off this week.

Carlos Correa presented his girlfriend, Daniella Rodriguez, with an incredible ring just moments after the Houston Astros won the World Series last week! The shortstop proposed on national television during his postgame interview on the field. Correa had been planning the proposal for a month, hoping that the Astros would win the World Series so he could pull off the surprise. Rodriguez was certainly surprised as she had to move the barriers surrounding her new fiance to give him a hug and accept the ring. The two were featured all over social media and made the rounds on talk shows, such as Jimmy Kimmel and Steve Harvey, during the week.

Another Astros star, Justin Verlander, finally tied the knot with his fiancee Kate Upton in the days following Verlander’s World Series win. The two flew to Italy and were married this past Sunday among family and friends. After over a year long engagement, Verlander and Upton missed the Astros’ victory parade in Houston last Friday to celebrate their wedding. What a week for the World Champs!

Additionally, tennis star, Caroline Wozniacki, announced her engagement to former San Antonio Spur, David Lee, last Wednesday. The couple both posted pictures on Instagram in Bora Bora after the engagement, including a beautiful picture of Caroline’s ring. The two have been dating since 2015, after Wozniacki’s split with her ex-fiance, golfer Rory McIlroy. We will be keeping tabs on this couple this winter as the wedding planning begins!

Lastly, Elena Delle Donne and her partner, Amanda Clifton, got married in The Knot’s Dream Wedding and was the first same-sex couple to be covered in the magazine’s feature. The wedding, which took place on Saturday, included some of the most spectacular wedding moments such as two custom-made outfits for both brides, donut bar, and a 6’5” wedding cake! The couple also had their guests donate to The Elena Delle Donne Foundation, which helps support those with special needs and Lyme’s Disease, in lieu of gifts.
