Stacy Goldberg is a nutritionist, a registered nurse and the force behind Savorfull, a start-up getting coaches and players alike to eat healthy.

Savorfull, a Quicken Loans company, is the middle man between manufacturers and locker rooms providing healthy, allergen-friendly foods for sports teams, Goldberg said in her NBA “Day in the Life” feature.

“We’re working with a lot more players and coaches who are dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan and other approaches to their diets,” Goldberg told the NBA. “That presents a challenge for nutritionists, strength coaches or anybody who’s responsible for sourcing in the NBA setting, because it’s overwhelming to figure out what’s the right choice.”

She sets out to find the proper snacks players should be eating on the road, in the locker rooms and in their practice facilities. According to the Savorfull website, their current clients include the Charlotte Hornets, Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, a few MLB teams and NCAA programs.

As the official health and wellness consultant and nutritionist for the NBA Coaches Association, Goldberg also focuses on coaches. She and work partner Michael Goldberg have brought in cardiologists and sleep experts to better figure out the coaches needs.

On a personal level, Goldberg is also committed to clean eating. According to her website, she combines this with an active lifestyle filled with yoga and tennis.
