PRODAY

Christmas is right around the corner! There are those who finished their shopping weeks ago an then there are the rest of us. Don’t worry though, even with just a week left before the holiday, there are plenty of great gifts available and thanks to technology, many of them don’t even require shipping. Check out this list of tech items that would be perfect as a last minute gift for the sports fan in your life.

Netflix Subscription

For the person who is leeching off of someone’s account or just hasn’t experienced the magic of “Netflix & Chill,” a subscription would be an ideal gift. The streaming service currently has a lot of great sports films and documentaries available for viewing, including #Rucker50, Talladega Nights and Field of Dreams. There are also quite a few of ESPN’s award-winning 30 for 30 on Netflix as well. Netflix gift cards can be purchased in increments of $25-$200.

Call of Duty WWII

The juggernaut that is the CoD franchise took it back in time for the latest edition of the game. The World War II theme is true to history but also gives a new twist. Players land in Normandy on D-Day and battle throughout the continent, fighting in several notable battles. ON the flipside, the game also features a co-op mode where you’ll fight Nazi Zombies. CoD is a great gift for any game, including eSports players. Plus the title is available below retail price at most retailers now!

NBA League Pass

For the first time in a long time, there are several compelling reasons for multiple teams in the NBA. In addition to the front-running Warriors and Cavs, up and coming squads like the Bucks, Timberwolves and the 76ers are must-watch TV. With LP, the hoop head in your life can watch every NBA out of market game. Wish so many people cutting the cord, LP thankfully works on 19 different devices that are not cable boxes. Pricing ranges from $99.99 per year (for one team) to $209.99 for LP Premium.

LG C7 OLED TV

There probably aren’t many people on your list that are worthy of an expensive TV, but for those who are, this is the best display that you can get. The picture is just about perfect. Black levels and brights are pristine thanks to 4K Ultra HD and HDR. The TV has built-in WiFi, so apps are available at the touch of a button. Television providers are supporting more 4K content regularly, especially with sports. DirecTV will produce 13 NBA games in 4K this season. When the C7 was first released it went for just under $3000, thankfully as new models roll out, the award-winning display can currently be purchased for nearly half the original retail price.

Apple Watch 3

Apple’s latest watch would make a great present for any active person in your life. In addition to all of the tech bells and whistles, the watch works as a fitness tracker. It is water resistant, so swimming or jogging in the rain won’t be a problem. The LTE isn’t the best, so save some money and spring for the non-LTE version. The watch is available in a variety of colors and bands as well.
