Ronnie Fieg’s Instagram is a lot more than just a collection of brand promotion and personal pictures he chooses to share with the world. Paying attention to not only what, but who Fieg is posting plays a pretty big role in figuring out what soon to be collaborations we can be expecting. As is appears that Instagram is his favorite place to tease upcoming projects and releases.
A couple weeks later, Fieg officially announced the collaboration with a photo of purple Air Maestro II Highs, noting that the Nike x Scottie Pippen sneaker collaboration was inspired by Pippen’s on-court shoe worn prior to getting his very own signature sneaker. The original Air Maestro was also worn by Pippen during the 1993 NBA All-Star Game, in which the then forward for the Chicago Bulls scored 29 points and racked up 11 rebounds during the game.
The recently released collaboration features four color ways including a black, a red, a purple, and a cheetah print version. All of which have been previewed via Fieg’s Instagram with the caption “Call Scottie.”
All color ways feature the same old-school inspired ad design and the same phone number.
The collaboration offers two different style bodies of the sneaker, the purple and red being the more modern of them.
The Red Air Maestro II, which features a new take on the Kith logo.
Here we have arguably the most “out there” color way i the bunch, the cheetah print Air Maestro II.
Sneakerheads can expect the next wave of Pippen releases to hit stores on Friday, October 6th, via the Kith x Nike Pippen 1.
