For busy moms, fitting in gym time around all of life’s other demands can be difficult, and for Olympic beach volleyball player Kerri Walsh Jennings it’s no different.

This mom of three cuts the excuses and brings the workout home.

Walsh Jennings works with her trainer Kerry Wachtfogel three times a week, she said in an Instagram post, and one of those times is in her backyard. Wachtfogel is the owner of Contrologie a California based pilates studio, who has worked with MLB, NBA and WNBA athletes, according to her website. She creates pilates based workouts for Walsh jennings to improve her strength, agility, endurance, mobility and flexibility.

Here is what Walsh Jennings had to say on Instagram about her trainer and #backyard workout:

“Hey [world], Here are some snippets of the backyard workout I do with my girl, Kerry Wachtfogel, of Contrologie Pilates & Movement Shop. Kerry has been my trainer (& DEAR friend) since 2009. She has made every journey magical and golden because that’s what she is [star].I work with Kerry 3 times a week. Once in studio, once in my backyard & once on the beach. Everything is pilates-centric, playful and good for my WHOLE being. We work on strength, agility, endurance, mobility, flexibility and all the rest. This workout is for EVERYONE & it is truly fun and effective. We have a “Mary Poppins” bag of goodies that we pull from & the diversity in each workout keeps things fresh and it keeps my body on its toes.”

Even without a personal trainer busy moms can do similar at home workouts in between soccer practice, dance class and homework.
