NFL players do a lot to keep themselves busy during the offseason: travel, train, or even just rest. Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, however, has decided to do something more than the usual summer vacation. In addition to the free time of the offseason, Watt also missed most of the 2016 season due to back injuries, so the NFL icon has been able to plan not one, but two clothing like collaborations to be released this summer.

Easing his way in to the fashion industry, Watt created what any athlete knows best: athletic wear.  With sponsor Reebok, Watt recently introduced a self-titled line of gear for men and kids. The predominantly black and grey collection is geared towards an “everyday focus” as the website shows.

FullSizeRenderFrom T-shirts to sweatpants, and even some sneakers, Watt’s simple designs and no-nonsense colors make the apparel appear practical yet chic. While some pieces could blend in with Reebok’s existing merchandise, there is no missing Watt’s back-to-back double J logo on many of the sleeveless tops.

In addition to his ventures with Reebok, Watt is a brand ambassador for Mizzen+Main. Founded in 2012, this Dallas-based menswear brand is relatively new but has already figured out the formula for fashionable and functional clothing. With all items made in the United States, the pieces are made with the brand’s trademark moisture-wicking, wrinkle resistant, machine washable lightweight fabric with four-way stretch.
