As the most decorated Olympian of all time, swimmer Michael Phelps understands the importance of healthy eating.

Out of the pool and into the kitchen, Phelps and his wife Nicole stay in shape with meals from Blue Apron, an environmentally sustainable meal delivery service that pairs consciously sourced ingredients with easy-to-follow recipes.  The quality components aim to produce dishes that enhance the in-home dining experience while reducing food waste.

The Phelps’ held a meal match-up, pitting his Thai steak and lettuce cups with spicy green beans and sushi rice against her Spicy Korean-style chicken with pickled enoki mushrooms and roasted vegetables.

Though the titles may sound intimidating, Blue Apron seeks to enable each subscriber to become a chef or share the title with the family. The Phelpses, however, are not the only athlete household to use this system.

Cleveland Cavaliers Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye also cook with Blue Apron, utilizing the meal-plan method to not only enjoy on the road, but to feed their families at home as well.

You don’t have to be a professional athlete to dig into these dishes.  Whether preparing for two or for four, Blue Apron offers pricing, recipe, and dietary preference options to fit any healthy lifestyle.
