Before high school basketball stars were tracked closer than the stock market, there was Schea Cotton. The SoCal guard, who dominated competition as an underclassman, was profiled by major outlets before he was a teenager and was a can’t miss prospect. Things don’t always go as predicted. Cotton battled with injuries and the NCAA before his 18th birthday. Although he continued to play well and in some instances dominate in college stints with Alabama and Long Beach City College, no NBA team drafted Cotton. Widely considered one of the best to never play in the NBA, many would consider Cotton’s career a failure. But, they’d be wrong. Cotton story isn’t a cautionary tale. It is one of redemption. Check out our full interview with Cotton as we discuss his playing days and the exceptional work he is doing today.
