So you think Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul is just a basketball player? Not so much. The NBA star appears to be somewhat of a renaissance man as he expands his reach into the world of fashion with his recently released collection for men’s accessory brand Hook and Albert.
Here are five things you need to know about the minimalist collaboration:
Charity: The Chris Paul Collection is not just about looking good, it’s about doing good. Hook & Albert will donate a portion of each and every purchase from the collection to the Chris Paul Family Foundation. The foundation helps to give back to a handful of different organizations and charities including the Boys & Girls Club, Make-a-Wish, Feed the Children, and others.
Lineage: The fabric lining features a pattern inspired by Paul’s grandfather, who was the first African-American man in North Carolina to own his own gas station.
Back to Back: The collection is Paul’s second fashion endeavor. He also currently has a collection out with Five Four, a members-only menswear brand with a box service similar to that of companies like Trunk Club.
Variety: The collection offers three leather styles including a backpack, a weekender bag, and a dope kit all offered in a grey and a black color way. It also offers seven variations of the metal stick pin.
Price is Right: The products offered will retail starting at $30, highest price being $585 for the weekender bag. It can be purchased on the Hook and Albert Website as well as at a select few Saks stores which include Beverly Hills, New York City, Houston, Chicago, New Orleans, Troy, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Chevy Chase.
